urban sketching & Freitagsfüller/ Friday Filler

 Hallo Leute!/Hi Guys!

Es ist schon wieder Freitag und heute passt der Freitagsfüller super zu mir. Manchmal kommt es vor, dass ich bei dem ein oder anderen Punkt einfach keine Ahnung habe, was ich dazu schreiben soll. Aber heute ging er mir schnell von der Hand. Und im Anschluss gibt es ganz viele Skizzen von mir, denn letztes Wochenende war ich richtig fleißig.

It's Friday again and today the Friday filler is a great fit for me. Sometimes it happens that at one point or another I simply have no idea what to write about. But today it was really easy for me. And then there are a lot of sketches from me, because last weekend I was really bussy.

1. Ich glaube, heute bin ich mal richtig produktiv. Ich will den Jumpstart aufholen und auch für die #StarteDeinNaturskizzenbuch Challenge werde ich was tun.
2. Tacos (in echt nennt man sie ja Fachitas, aber ich habe sie als Tacos kennengelernt) esse ich am liebsten mit den Fingern.
3. Das Dschungelcamp bei RTL interessiert mich so was von garnicht und hat es auch nie getahn.
4. Mein Mann und ich halten zusammen, sogar in schlechten Zeiten.
5. Was Kaffee angeht, von dem gibt es morgens eine Tasse und ab und an zwischen durch noch eine, aber eigentlich bin ich mehr der Teetrinker.
6. Heute bin ich voll motiviert, das muss am Wetter liegen. Hier scheint die Sonne und es sind nur ein paar Wölkchen am Himmel.
7. Was das Wochenende angeht, heute Abend freue ich mich auf eine Runde Scrappen, morgen habe ich geplant, ganz viel Flipcharts für meinen Mann anfertigen und Sonntag möchte ich noch mal scrappen!

 1. I think today I'm really productive. I want to catch up with the jumpstart and I will do something for the #StarteDeinNatur Sketchbook Challenge.
 2. Tacos (in real terms they are called Fajitas, but I got to know them as tacos) I like to eat with my fingers.
3. I'm not interested in the jungle camp on RTL (german TV-program) and never was.
4. My husband and I stick together, even in bad times.
5. As for coffee, I drinke a cup in the morning and now and then another later on the day. But actually I'm more of a tea drinker.
6. Today I am fully mutivated, that must be due to the weather. Here the sun is shining and there are only a few clouds in the sky.
7. As for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to a little bit of scrapbooking, tomorrow I'm planning to do a lot of flip charts for my husband and Sunday I want to scrap again!

Letztes Wochenende war mein Mann die ganze Zeit unterwegs. Da habe ich die Zeit genutzt, um raus zu ziehen und einwenig zu sketchen. Und ich habe eine ordentliche Ausbeute gemacht. Da es aber doch ziemlich kalt draußen war, habe ich mich wohl einwenig erkältet. Hab ein ganzschön kratzigen Hals mittlerweile.

Last weekend, my husband was on the road all the time. So I have used the time to go out and  sketch a little. And I was really productive. But since it was pretty cold outside, I probably caught a little cold. Have a pretty scratchy throut now.

 

Am Samstag hat mich mein Mann an meinem Wunschmotiv abgesetzt. Aber leider ist mir da aufgefallen, dass ich das Wichtigste vergessen habe, mein Skizzenbuch. Ich war etwas geknickt, denn unter der Woche hatte ich schon einmal etwas zum Zeichnen vergessen, da war es mein Wassertankpinsel. Aber so schnell hab ich mich nicht geschlagen gegeben und habe mir kurzerhand in einen Block Aquarellpapier gekauft.

  

On Saturday my husband dropped me off on my wish motive. But unfortunately I noticed that I forgot the most important thing, my sketchbook. I was a little sad, because during the week I already forgotten something to draw, that time it was my watertankbrush. But I did not give up, so Ibought myself a block of watercolor paper.

Es wurde dann zwar nicht mein Wunschmotiv, aber bei uns in Erkelenz gibt es genug schöne Motive. Also habe ich mich auf eine der Bänke am Straßenrand gesetzt und eines der tollen roten Backsteinhäuser auf der anderen Straßenseite gezeichnet. Da ich recht lange dafür gebraucht habe und ich danach so unterkühlt war, habe ich mich dann nach Hause gemacht und mich erst einmal wieder aufgewärmt.

It was´nt the motive I wished fore, but here in Erkelenz there are enough beautiful motives. So I sat down on one of the benches on the roadside and drew one of the great red brickhouses across the street. Since I took a long time for it and I was so overcooled afterwards, I went home and warmed me up again.

Am Sonntag bin ich dann erst einmal morgens in das Anton´s gegangen, einem sehr schönen Restaurant hier in Erkelenz. Hier befindet sich in jeder Ecke wundervolle Dekoration, die nur danach schreit in meinem Skizzenbuch verewigt zu werden. Da alle regulären Sitzplätze schon besetzt waren, durfte ich mich in einen der eigentlich nur als Deko funktionierenden Ohrensessel (ich habe noch nie jemand darin sitzen sehen) setzen können. So hatte ich einen ganz anderen Blickwinkel auf die Einrichtung wie sonst.

On sundaymorning I went to Anton's, a very nice restaurant here in Erkelenz. There is wonderful decoration in every corner, which only screams to be immortalized in my sketchbook. Since all regular seats were already occupied, I was allowed to sit in a wing chair that actually is only used as decoration (I have never seen anyone sitting in it). So I had a very different view of the interior as usual.

Erst nachdem ich mit meiner Skizze von dem Frühstücksbuffet fertig war, kamen die Gäste. So konnte ich dann während meinem Frühstückskaffee einfach mal die Leute beobachten und in Ruhe das Bild kolorieren.

Only after I finished my sketch of the breakfast buffet, the guests came. So during my breakfast coffee I could just watch the people and could color the picture without hurry.

Als ich mich auf den Weg zu meinem eigentlichen Motiv gemacht habe, war ich noch guter Dinge, dass es nicht so kalt wie am Vortag werden würde. Aber leider war mein Sitzplatz komplett im Schatten. Ich mag ja alte Backsteingebäude richtig gern. Als ich das Gebäude letztens beim Vorbeifahren entdeckt habe, wusste ich sofort, dass ich es in meinem Sketchbuch verewigen wollte.

When I made my way to my actual motive, I was still in good spirits that it would not be as cold as the day before. But unfortunately my seat was completely in the shade. I really like old brick buildings. When I discovered the building as I drove by, I knew immediately that I wanted to immortalize it in my sketchbook.

Nachdem ich wieder total verfroren war, bin ich direkt wieder ins Anton´s zurück um mich beim Mittagessen aufzuwärmen.

After I was completely frozen again, I hurried back to Anton's to warm me up at lunch.

 Während ich auf mein Essen wartete, habe ich natürlich noch mal die Einrichtung skizziert.

While I was waiting for my meal, of course I have sketched out the decor again.

Als mein veganisches Essen kam, musste ich es natürlich auch wieder schnell abzeichnen. Ein super-leckeres Risotto mit Kürbissuppe und Curryschaum. Falls Ihr Euch mal nach Erkelenz verirrt, kann ich Euch nur raten hier einmal essen zu gehen. Hier ist für jeden Geschmack was dabei. Eine total gemütliche Atmosphäre und das Personal ist supernett. 

When my vegan food arrived, of course I had to sketch it again. A super-tasty risotto with pumpkin soup and curry froth. If you come to Erkelenz, I can only advise you to eat here once. They got something for every taste. A totally cozy atmosphere and the staff is super nice.

Nach dem Essen habe ich meine Skizze noch etwas verfeinert und dann war es auch schon Zeit, um nach Hause zu gehen.

After the meal I improved my sketch and then it was already time to go home.
